Virtual Machines

Posted on July 23, 2013 by Vitaly Posted in Apps, CentOS, Linux, Networking, Tech, Ubuntu, Virtualization

This page will be a moving target as we will be checking out new machines and technologies, and likely adding and deleting current virtual machines to keep up with current technologies. Below is a list of the virtual machines that I hope to create (each on their own page, with their own trials and tribulations). This will range from Microsoft to Linux to whatever else comes along, such as running Logic on a Mac :-).

Windows Machines:

  1. Punisher – Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
  2. Magneto – Backup Domain Controller
  3. Kingpin – Microsoft SQL Server
  4. Blade – Sharepoint Server
  5. Apocalypse – Exchange 2013
  6. Venom – System Center
  7. Havok – Windows 7 management machine (may take up to Win8 for group policy testing)

Linux Machines:

  1. Ironman – TFTP and PXE
  2. Hawkeye – Icinga (Nagios), Cacti, Racktables, Arpwatch, Rancid, Radius/TACACS+, Syslog
  3. Elektra – Mysql and PostGRES
  4. Warlock – Apache (HA1)
  5. Psylocke – Apache (HA2)
  6. Colossus – Rsync Backup Server
  7. EmmaFrost – XenLB Load balancer
  8. Nightcrawler – Management workstation
  9. BlackWidow – RHCSA/RHCE Learning Machine (RHEL 6.4)
